As an applicant, you are concerned about how you can optimally prepare yourself for the application process. Would you like to know exactly what formal and contentual issues need to be considered and what we value?
Here we answer the most frequently asked questions about your application and the associated job interview. You will also find out what you need to pay attention to and receive many practical tips for your application.
What documents and information should I submit with my application?
For an application it is necessary to provide a CV, which also includes your address, telephone number and e-mail address, as well as a cover letter and your references and certificates.
What data can I change after sending my application and how?
It is possible to change your personal information, such as name, address, etc., as well as your information and data regarding education and work experience. Of course, you can also add or upload new documents.
How do you make sure your recruitment process is fair?
Fairness is part of our Code of Ethics and at the heart of our organisation, so we place great emphasis on upholding it during the recruitment process. To do this, we use valid and reliable processes and tools. During the application or recruitment process, factors and information relating to gender, age, faith, political belief, nationality, sexual orientation, disability, race and cultural affiliation are considered irrelevant.
Whom can I address my application to?
The responsible recruiter can always be found on the bottom of the job posting, please address your application to them.
How long does it take to complete the online application?
Completing and finalising your online application usually takes no more than 15 minutes of your time, always taking into account the local internet connection, of course. Since you need to generate an account to apply via our job portal, a first application will take a little longer. All further applications can then be completed more quickly.
What are the channels through which an application can be submitted?
All our vacancies are published on our website/job portal and this remains the primary channel for applications. Alternatively, you can search and apply via social media channels. We kindly ask you to avoid applying by post or via email.
Do I have the opportunity to submit a general application?
Yes, you can send us a general application at any time. You have the option of sending it to us via this link.
Whom can I contact if I have any questions about a specific job posting or the status of my application?
You can always contact the responsible recruiter for questions on the job posting or the status of your application. In case of technical reasons please contact our team.
In which language should I write my application?
We would ask you to prepare your application in English as we are global, there are many nationalities represented within the company and our company language is also English.
Where can I find all available job vacancies?
You can find all open positions in our job portal on the overview page. Click here for the complete overview.
What do I have to be aware of by uploading my documents?
Please note that the maximum size of documents allowed is 1024 kilobytes. All uploaded documents and attachments are automatically scanned by our system to check for viruses.
Can I apply for multiple positions?
Yes you can. We would also recommend that you submit an application for every job you are interested in.
Are there any application deadlines?
There are no real time deadlines for our vacancies. Nevertheless, it can sometimes happen that the recruitment process is already so far advanced that new applications can no longer be considered.
Is the position I am interested in still available?
As long as the position is published and can be found on our job portal, it is not staffed and therefore available.
What should I consider, if I am invited to an interview at Valeo Siemens eAutomotive?
Take enough time for the interview. In general, the interview lasts about 90 minutes. You may need to plan some extra time if the interview takes longer than scheduled. Please make sure that you are already on site 10–15 minutes before the start of the interview so that there is enough time left for visitor registration and any other matters.
When will I receive feedback on my application?
When you can expect feedback depends on the status of the process for your position, but we usually get back to you within 1–2 weeks.
What happens after an interview?
After your interview, the recruiting and the hiring manager will come together and discuss the candidate’s situation. After the final decision, an offer will be sent to the chosen applicant, while all other applicants will receive a rejection.
How does the recruitment process look like at Valeo Siemens eAutomotive?
The first step is of course your application. After receipt of the application, it is checked in the first step by our HR department. This is followed by a review of the applications by the Hiring Manager.
After the review, the shortlisted candidates will be invited for at least one interview. Usually, there is an initial short telephone call first and then an interview takes place afterwards at Valeo Siemens eAutomotive on site or via video call. The remaining applicants receive a direct rejection. For management positions, there is also a self-assessment with an online test.
After the recruiting and hiring managers have discussed the candidates and made a decision, the selected candidate receives an offer, while the other candidates receive a rejection. The applicant must agree to this offer and, in some cases, the works council must be consulted before the contract documents can be sent out.
